Made up of a group of volunteer patients, the practice manager and a Partner GP, our patient participation group meets on a regular basis to discuss the services on offer, and how improvements can be made for the benefit of patients and the practice.

The purpose of the group is to facilitate patients and the practice staff working together to share ideas to help improve the services offered at the practice in addition to sourcing out any local community services that would help enhance aspects of the patient's lives. The aims of the PPG 

The aim of the PPG is to promote cooperation between the medical unit and their patients to benefit both. We do this by supporting and enhancing the work done by our Medical Unit. Reflecting the patient voice both in the organisation and care provided at the unit. Communicating with all patients on matters relating to our unit, the local Primary Care Network, and the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board (ICB formally known as the CCG).

PPG membership

All members of the PPG are registered patients at Measham Medical Unit. All patients registered at the unit are most welcome to join the PPG and to attend any meetings. Meetings are held bimonthly currently at Measham Leisure Centre. You can join the PPG by clicking the image above 

Message from John Wilebur our current Chairperson

Our PPG meetings are well supported with a good mixture of patients and members of the units staff. Our main objective this year is to improve communications. To this end we have set up a Communication Working Group. We now have articles regarding the work of the PPG being published in the Community Voice, The Breeze, and The Packington newsletter. We are currently working on having our own notice board inside the unit as well as getting information on notice boards throughout our area. Our overall vision is to become the best and most proactive PPG in our area
