For a home visit by the doctor please telephone Measham 01530 270667 before 10.30am if possible so that the doctor will be able to see you on normal rounds. After 10.30 any visits received that day will be passed to the Duty Doctor who may have many more urgent calls to make.
If you wish to see the nurse or midwife please also ring this number for a home visit.
For a home visit from the podiatrist please telephone 01455 200449
open from 9am to 4pm . The staff are very happy to give
home care when appropriate. Most ill patients and their carers prefer
care in their home rather than in hospital, so we do our best to make
this possible. We are pleased to arrange home births in suitable cases.
The team is dedicated to providing the best care at home. However
facilities at home can never be as good as those at the surgery and
travelling takes up time, which we would rather spend with patients.
For these reasons, the staff makes home visits only when you are too ill
to come to surgery. In most cases, sick children can safely be brought
to the surgery and will be kept away from other patients if you are
afraid of spreading infection. We make a special effort to see sick
children quickly.
