Dispensary Service

We are fortunate in being able to offer most of our patients a dispensing service. If you live more than a mile from a chemist, you can collect your medication from our dispensary.

If you take medicines on a regular basis –and so have ”repeat prescriptions” – you can collect these from the Dispensary, provided you have given us at least two working days notice of your needs.

Patients using the Appleby Magna branch can collect their repeat prescriptions from this surgery, we will require slightly longer notice for this service.

All prescriptions are for 28 days, other than a limited number of items which come in three month packs, such as the contraceptive pill.

How to Request a Repeat Prescription

• You can request your repeat prescription at the Enquiries hatch in the main reception.

• By post (please allow for postal delays) and include a SAE if you want the prescription sent back to you.

Please note you cannot order prescriptions over the phone.

In order to help reduce the number of journeys you need to make to the surgery please use one of the ordering methods outlined above.

To further reduce your journeys and help in the efficient running of the Dispensary please endeavour to order all your monthly requirements at the one time.
